Mario Parties In Japan

Heavenly Sword apes UK performance

Mario Parties In Japan
The Japanese Charts are in from Media Create, with Mario Party DS enjoying a second week at the top in the period ending November 18th.

The first week of release for Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles shows that the Nintendo hardcore are still present and accounted for, with the Capcom shooter debuting at Number 2.

Shin Sangoku Musou 5 (Dynasty Warriors 6) doesn't perform as well as Koei might have hoped for in Japan, but its not quite time to cry into your Blu-ray drive with the title spending its second week of release at Number 3.

The PS3 also does well with the first party exclusive Heavenly Sword, which debuts at Number 7 - the same position it entered the Charts at over here. You can see what SPOnG thought of the hack 'n'slash extravaganza here.

Should be interesting to see how Heavenly Sword does since God of War done okay in japan.

Mario Party DS beat Galaxy to no1? Wow.

Glad to see Nishimura Kyotaro DS in the charts (it's a cool looking murder mystery detective game from Tecmo). I hope it does well, as it would be great for translation. Watch this game closely, Ubisoft etc.

I hope Capcom line up a new RE game for Wii, once this UC zapper option is out. After RE4 sales it wouldn't surprise me if Capcom build on that, with something else to sell next to RE5. Could it happen?

There have been whispers of an re2 wiimake, which of course would own all and kick ass.
