In case you needed proof, Electronic Arts has released a video of Dead Space showing why it's a bad place to be - in the most psycho-babbley sense of the phrase, of course.
SPOnG is, of course, aware that dead space is not likely to be a pleasant place to spend a weekend. It was the setting, in a roundabout way, for the utterly pointless Event Horizon, for starters. It also sounds remarkably cold. November's currently reminding us that we don't like that. Now we can throw in lots of really ugly aliens with nasty tentacle bits, too.
Don't let that put you off EA's first excursion into the survival horror genre, however. Dead Space looks to be coming along well, with a healthy dollop of in-game footage on show in the trailer below. Dig in, then let us know what you think in the forum.

they never said it was a setting based on event horizon, they said the game had the same atmospheric setting the two are somewhat different, although the film blows if you were actually on the event horizon you probly would be s**tting yourself!
The trailer, looks err ok, but its like ive seen it before, i like how EA is trying to get a foot in every type on genre and mimicking games galore, ie: Dead Space - Resident Evil, Rock Band - Guitar Hero, EA Playground - Wii Sports, My Sims - Animal Crossing etc etc.... but i dont see any orginal titles though even the brillantly funny Simpsons game was the same old, press button, run around, shoot and repeat.
