Scans of a Super Mario Galaxy strategy guide have revealed a glorious piece of news – Luigi is to be playable in the game.
However, you will have to nab yourself a whopping 120 stars first, as well as completing the purple coin missions and beating down Bowser twice, before you can actually play as Luigi.
The guide scan reveals that, "Luigi jumps higher and further, and also runs faster, but has trouble stopping. They each have the same moves, such as the long-jump or backflip, but the difference in their basic jump, running speed, and stopping ability makes completing the game harder."

It's not so much the fact that it's a spoiler - it's the fact that it's written on the front page of the bloody site so that - even if you didn't want to know it - you now do. Cheers buddy! Other sites have the decency to give you the option of whether you'd like to read an article containing a spoiler, rather than just throwing it in your face - is that too much to ask for?

Hi, I've been away this morning, relaxing, chilling out... and then this. Being called a w****r in my absence! That's either way too prescient or a lucky guess.
Given the level of passion this one's stirred up - and given the fact that, as a rule we I don't like giving the entire story in the headline (context is missing for example) - can we all agree that this one goes down rather more as a over-enthusiasm to spread the news than a conspiracy to ruin anybody's enjoyment of Galaxy.
On the upside - a review of the game (complete with spoiler warnings if necessary) will be with you next Monday, by the way.
So, apologies from me if anybody feels that they've been jipped.

Obscenities aside. I too am annoyed about this story.
I like to be surprised by getting to the end and finding out a character is playable, etc.
This sort of thing should be left to gamefaqs.
I clicked on the link expecting to read that i could play as luigi from the start or something. Not a major spoiler like this.

What you SHOULDVE done is put the headline as something like "Click here to find out what happens if you get every star in mario galaxy"
