Okami For Wii - Confirmed
Capcom confirms today that Okami, one of the greatest PS2 games of the last year, is finally making its way to Wii early next year.

If you donít remember much about this, or need your memory jogging a little, then you can read SPOnGís laudatory review of Okami from earlier this year

Okami was the last game to come out of Capcom's Clover Studios Ė the innovative hive-brain that also knocked out such left-field classics as Viewtiful Joe and God Hand.

Unfortunately, as is often the case with original, innovative games, they didnít sell too well, hence the closure of Clover, with the original members now part of Platinum Games.

Ironic then that gamers worldwide will greet the announcement of a Wii version of Okami with widespread joy.

No word yet on who is set to pick up the development duties, but we should hear more on this very soon.

Great stuff Capcom, nice to see you lovely people listen to your customers, and this will ensure you get showered in the money and sales you deserve.

I think Okami should go down very well on Wii, even with the casuals. Perhaps they should consider a DS version too. Now there's an idea.

so when the Wii get's year old PS2 ports it's a good thing, and when the PS3 gets a year old 360 port people use it as a reason to insult the PS3? how does that even work?

oh you have to understand daz, any news that can be twisted - no matter how out-of-context - to criticise Sony will be twisted abruptly and, actually, its happened so much lately I think you should do what I do and just see who posted the comment, assume the worst, and scan right past it..

Otherwise, if the wind happened to change, I'd be permanetly cringed. You see, cringing is how I attempt to tolerate inanity.

Regarding Okami, I'm just elated that it has the chance to reach more gamers hearts - no matter how they'd classify themselves. It does not matter what console it was initially designed for, or how long ago it was released. It is a classic.

Regarding Lost Planet. It is not a classic, but it sells. so, you know.. stoopid Sony trying to lap up software sales with Microsoft products! lol they really hit the barrel of the bottom wif this one! (If you can't beat them..)

And so say all of us. A total classic...

The sentiment regarding the platform being irrelevant is also a breath of fresh air.

Cheers
