Microsoft Hits Back At Reduced Price PS3

With yet another ‘value bundle’

Posted by Staff
Microsoft in the US has announced yet another ‘top value’ hardware/software bundle, throwing in two free games with each purchase of a $350 Xbox 360 or the $450 Xbox 360 Elite.

These aren’t just rubbish old games that were clogging up the stockrooms either, but the really rather good Forza Motorsport 2 and the ok-if-you-like-comics-and-that Marvel Ultimate Alliance from Activision.

The two games are worth about $90 at retail, so even if American gamers didn’t like either, they could just cash them in for something that did tickle their fancy.

The bundles are due at US retail by the end of October. No announcements to date for plans for similar bundles in Europe, but SPOnG imagines it will only be a matter of time before we see a response from Microsoft to Sony’s recent price-cutting madness.

Can't wait to see what MS have to say on the Sony crap.

Now this is what its about, a decent deal for the customer. Well done, MS.

You plonk down you €490 on a nice 360 elite bundle, knowing full well that it isnt a 65nm board, knowing full well it its gonna drop in price sooner or later... but it still hurts.

Damn halo 3 impulse buying.
