Atari has sent over the first details of DS painting game, the does-what-it-says-on-tin
Paint by DS – being developed by Mercury Games, ready for release next month (October) and pictured right here.
“Ever fancied yourself as the new Van Gogh? Or how about Gould? Test your artistic skills and let your imagination and creativity shine through with Paint by DS! Swap your pencil and paintbrush for your DS stylus and re-create some of the art-world’s most timeless classics like Hokusai’s "The Waves" or Cezannes "Le Golfe de Marseille".”
Essentially
Paint by DS is like painting by numbers taken to the next level, with 15 classic pieces of art available to reproduce, which you can save to your gallery for future viewing.
Paint by DS features three different difficulty levels, minigames and unlockable tools, canvases and frames.
Atari reckons it has up to 40 hours of game-play. SPOnG will be sure to put this rather bold claim to the test when we get hold of the software!
