Rockstar’s stylised detective thriller L.A. Noire, in development at Team Bondi, has slipped off of Take Two's fiscal 2008 release listing, which basically means we will not see the game until way off in the future in 2009.
Which is a shame as the initial teaser trailer for the game looked very promising indeed.
The fact that L.A. Noire is now missing a 2008 release was announced during a Take Two conference call in which the company also stated its third quarter financial results and detailed its product release schedule for the remainder of 2007 and through into 2008.
The following titles are scheduled to arrive in US stores before October 31, 2007 - Table Tennis for Wii, Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (PC, Xbox 360), NHL 2K8 (Xbox 360, PS3, PS2), NBA 2K8 (Xbox 360, PS3, PS2), MLB Power Pros (Wii, PS2) and Manhunt 2 (Wii, PS2, PSP).
So, Manhunt 2 made it through after all!
In addition to LA Noire missing ‘fiscal 2008’ there is also no mention of the recently announced Mafia 2 making 2008 either, with Take Two’s current line-up for next year looking like this:
Bully: Scholarship Edition - Xbox 360, Wii
College Hoops 2K8 - Xbox 360, PS3, PS2
Dora the Explorer - DS and consoles
Go, Diego, Go! - DS and consoles
Midnight Club: Los Angeles - Xbox 360, PS3

Next Easter simply cannot come fast enough.
