Media Create has released the Japanese hardware sales figures for the week ending September 2nd, and all platforms barring the PS3 have seen a drop off.
The PS3 saw a marginal boost, climbing just under 2,000 units from the week before, up to 18,068.
The DS, while still leading the pack by a good 55,000, dropped below the 100K mark for the first time this year, to 94,339. The Wii was behind it, dropping just shy of 7,000 sales since the previous week, to 39,371. Next up was the PSP, down by nearly 4,000 sales, to 22,196, followed by the PS3 and then the PS2 at 14,280. The 360, as ever, trailed at the back with just 1,635 units sold.
The PS3's marginal boost was no doubt helped by the release of
Bladestorm, which entered the Japanese software chart at Number two, with 58,996 copies sold – no mean feat for a PS3 title in Japan.
