Colin McRae: DiRT on PlayStation 3 is easily the definitive version of the game for SPOnG, which also makes it the definitive videogame rallying experience (well, at least until
Sega Rally arrives), so we were glad to get a look at the latest demo which has just gone up on the European PlayStation Store today.
The new
Colin McRae: DiRT playable demo delivers three events to experience right now, including Crossover, C.O.R.R. (Championship Off-Road Racing), and a point-to-point rally stage.
The Crossover race has players competing against Colin McRae on Germany ‘s Avelsbachring’s smooth but twisty tarmac - the “perfect battleground for a pair of Subaru Impreza WRX STI spec Cs”, it says here.
The C.O.R.R. competition pits players against nine other racers aggressively competing for position in V8 650hp buggies at the Bark River Off Road Raceway, Michigan.
And, exclusive to the PS3 system demo, the gravel churning start of the Cuconi B rally stage in Sardinia will have players racing to achieve a best time through Italian vineyards before hitting the tarmac at the end of the stage.
Colin McRae: DiRT is set to launch on PlayStation 3 on Friday, September 14
