The main problem with Macs is that you can’t get any decent games for them. At least, that used to be the major criticism most gamers targeted at those strange white and brushed aluminium computers favoured by designers and (would-be) film-makers and music producers everywhere.
This, it appears today, is certainly no longer a valid criticism, what with Epic’s wonderful Gears of War and the (already announced) Unreal Tournament 3 heading to the Mac sometime soon.
Epic boss Mark Rein told Spike TV, "Don't forget, we're also doing Macintosh... Yes, Gears is going to come to the Mac and so is UT."
A release date announcement has yet to be made, but porting duties are expected to be handled by MacSoft, now a division of Destineer, that has in the past published Macintosh versions of Epic’s Unreal, Unreal Tournament and Unreal Tournament 2004 games.
