Sierra Entertainment is set to release two new expansion packs for
F.E.A.R.:
Perseus Mandate for PC and
F.E.A.R. Files for the 360, which will feature the PC expansion along with Sierra's earlier PC expansion,
Extraction Point.
Here's what Sierra has to tell us about
Perseus Mandate:
“F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate, the second expansion pack for Windows PC, offers both seasoned gamers and those who have never played the original F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) the ability to jump-in and experience the fright with a brand new team in an all-new experience that presents a different perspective of the events that occur at Armacham. The campaign reveals a parallel story allowing players to take the role of a different F.E.A.R. soldier and battle new enemies that the original team never saw coming.”
For those of you not familiar with
Extraction Point, you can read all about it on SPOnG
here, and if you're scratching your head and trying to remember what
F.E.A.R. Is, you can read SPOnG's review of the PS3 version
here.
No mention has been made of an expansion for the PS3 version of
F.E.A.R. SPOnG contacted Sierra to find out why and was told, “We are only talking about the 360 version at this time and that we will follow up with PS3 details at a future date.”
Now have a look below to see what horrors
F.E.A.R. Files has to offer.
