Nintendo's Virtual Console Gets Kirby Pink

And blood red...

Kirby brings his own unique brand of sportsmanship to Virtual Console this week with Kirby's Dream Course. He's backed up by some all-American action courtesy of HudsonSoft, with its Rambo-esque Bloody Wolf.

Originally released in 1995 on the SNES, Kirby's Dream Course puts a zen spin on golfing. Just think: 'I am the ball'. Because you are! Well, Kirby is. Gone are the lush green courses you've come to expect from golf titles. They're replaced by all kinds of perils: devious obstacles, malicious traps and sinister enemies. Players must use Kirby and his weird powers to take out the bad guys and finish up under par. Kirby's Dream Course is yours for 800 Wii Points.

Hailing from the PC Engine/TurboGraphx and the year 1990 is HudsonSoft's Bloody Wolf, or as the Japanese refer to it, Narazumono Sento Butai: Bloody Wolf, which translates nicely to Ruffian Combat Force: Bloody Wolf. Whether the Ruffians in the game's title are the bad guys or the heroes is up for grabs, but so long as we get to put on a bandido and save the president from those pesky enemies of liberty, SPOnG's happy enough. Huargh! Bloody Wolf will set you back 600 Wii Points.

For those keeping count, that's 105 Virtual Console titles now available.
