Hitman Movie Trailer – Right Here, Right Now

Olyphant action

SPOnG is happy to bring you the first trailer for the upcoming movie adaptation of Hitman, starring Timothy Olyphant, right below these very words.

The movie is being released by Fox this October, with the trailer already on show in US cinemas showing Live Free or Die Hard.

We particularly like the use of the orchestral 'Ave Maria' set over the ultraviolent action on screen as Agent 47 - professional assassin for hire - gets caught up in a political takeover. Both Interpol and the Russian military pursue the poor fella across Eastern Europe as he tries to find out exactly what the hell is going on.

Apparently, “the greatest threat to 47's survival may be the stirrings of his conscience and the unfamiliar emotions aroused in him by a beautiful, damaged girl...”

Meanwhile, if you have still to play any of the superb Hitman series, don't forget that Eidos has recently released Hitman: The Triple Hit Pack.

Well that trailer done it for me, I have to see this film. I still think it has the potential to be the best game to film adaption yet. We've seen a few action assasin type films before but this could be the nuts if done right.

It's got guns, explosion and people dying, good enough for me. Out in October, nice and soon in time for xmas, sweet!

Lol, get over the Statham stuff. I too would have liked him to do it but alas no. To condemn this film because he's not in it is a bit dumb.

Hey Bumblebee isn't a VW, so that new Transformers film is gonna be crap too, right?. Lol, take off those blinkers, open your mind and be glad we are getting a Hitman film, especially after the poor DOA or Bloodrayne flicks. Your opinion still. I know I'm well up for Hitman and Transformers.

Studios could easily stop green lighting these films, but this one I think will be worth spending money on. Studios just have to be more careful which games they select for film treatment, and this one is worthy of that treatment. I think its gonna be good because it doesn't have to stick to so close, to any game hokum bs like DOA, and Hitman's world looks believable.

No, bumblebee looks like a pile of crap and has no voice and will be nothing but a "set piece" in a Michael bay action flick. That's why the new transformers will suck. The only reason that show still has such a strong following is not cause it's "big robots busting s**t up1!!" but because people love the characters. Prime and BB and Jazz and wheel jack and ironhide. Those voices and personalities are forever etched into the minds of a generation and we get "big robot fest 07" instead. Also the robot designs are crap. I'm still going to see it, mostly just to prove I'm right and partially cause I still hold out hope it wont be complete trash.

As for this, while I would have liked statham, I don't think hes a linch pin for this. I haven't really played any of the games, is the hitman very agile? He always seemed more slow and methodical and less flashy than statham would have been.
