Edinburgh Interactive Festival 2007 – Latest Details
SPOnG cannot wait for this years Edinburgh Interactive Festival 2007, set to take place at the Royal College of Physicians, August 13 – 14, for two main reasons.

The first reason is that we ‘heart’ Edinburgh. It is far and away our favourite European city. For so many reasons, but particularly because it has some of the best public houses in the world and extremely modern and civilised drinking laws (i.e. late-night drinking in nice bars is positively encouraged, not viewed as a threat to the very fabric of our society as in not-so-merry olde England).

The second, and more important reason, is that we should hopefully get to meet and interview Gollum! That’s right, Andy Serkis, the actor better known as Gollum, will be at this years Edinburgh Interactive Festival talking about his voice-over work in the games industry.

The festival also includes a keynote from Ubisoft’s pint-sized president Yves Guillemot, alongside sessions from the BBC’s multiplatform controller Simon Nelson, Linden Labs' Jim Purbeck, scary-faced actor Stephen Berkoff, Fight Club director David Fincher and Pirates of the Caribbean screenwriter Stuart Beattie.
