Soul Calibur IV For PS3 And Xbox 360: First Video!
Namco Bandai has revealed that Soul Calibur IV is heading to the 360 and PS3 in the US. Details are scarce, but SPOnG has a teaser trailer shown at Namco Bandai's gamers day this week.

Namco-Bandai's Executive Vice President and COO, Makoto Iwai, offered up, "Soul Calibur has been a cornerstone franchise for Namco Bandai Games and this latest edition will build upon its legacy of groundbreaking fighting experiences. With Soul Calibur IV, long-time fans and newcomers to the franchise will be amazed by its visual beauty and intense, pulse pounding weapon combat."

It's been confirmed that Project Soul, the team behind Soul Blade and Soul Calibur I-III is handling development chores.

No details of who will distribute the game in Europe have been released, although EA normally handles Namco Bandai distribution on this side of the pond.

It was recently announced that an adventure-based variation on the Soul Calibur series is Wii-bound under the title Legends. Frankly, SPOnG's glad that Namco Bandai is acknowledging the difference between the Wii and its next-gen counterparts. The last thing we needs is another title built for another system then crammed on to the Wii with poor graphics an an uninspired control system. Conversely, hardcore Soul Calibur fans will be gratified to see that they're receiving a sequel that's closer to the series' beat 'em up roots than Legends.

Both Legends and IV are looking special. So now I gotta get Tekken 6 and Soul Calibur IV for 360, I'm so glad I have a 360. Superb stuff.

Soul Calibur, without doubt, the best fighting game ever, anyone who owns a DC will know the many, many lost hours & the mind blowning visual. I hope they get this one to work with LIVE cant wait to see what they do with the new generation of consoles.
