Following the sad loss of Sega President Mr. Isao Okawa, who recently died age 74 from a cardiac arrest, Sega has announced successor’s to the posts that he carried. 40 year-old Tetsu Kayama is to become the new president of Sega after an official board meeting in June.
Tetsu was hired by Mr. Okawa personally and currently runs the game planning and publishing company Recruit Co. It is likely that he will continue Sega’s restructuring and development programs.
The position of chairman will be taken by 67 year old Yoshiji Fukushima, who is currently chairman of Sega’s parent company, CSK Corp. Mr. Fukushima will become chairman of both companies and remain director of Sega as well.
