Nintendo's Virtual Console Gets Biblical
Nintendo's taking us from the dawn of man to the stars in its Virtual Console update this week. SPOnG's mighty suspicious of the biblical undertones, but we're witholding judgement.

The first retro title on offer is 1991's Adventures of Lolo, originally published for the NES by the sinisterly-named HAL Corporation. Things aren't looking too cracking in the Garden of Eden. Princess Lala's been kidnapped by the Great Devil, and now the effeminately named Prince Lolo has to journey across Eden to save both her and the garden itself. He's not the most agile chap, but he'll use his cunning to solve all the puzzles thrown his way to sort things out. Adventures of Lolo will set you back 500 Wii Points.

Also on offer is the opportunity to get airborne in Nintendo's 1987 arcade conversion, Balloon Fight. Players take on the role of a daredevil balloonist (yup, you heard right) as he battles his way across the skies. The objective is fairly simple, pop your enemy's balloon and he'll drop from the sky to his doom. Balloon Fight also features both co-op and competitive multiplayer options. This old-school NES classic will cost you 500 Wii Points.

This week's HudsonSoft offering takes things to a more aggressive level in the form of Dead Moon, originally for the TurboGraphx. This side-scrolling shooter sees players taking on the role of an elite fighter pilot to (you'll never guess, not in a gzillion years) stop invading hordes of aliens! Players can upgrade both their ships and weapons throughout the game to better dish out righteous death on the invaders. Dead Moon will cost you 600 Wii Points.

This week's titles take Virtual Consoles list of titles to 99, making it just one short week 'til the Wii gets its century.
