And, less excitingly, MC Hammer, Wet Wet Wet and New Kids On The Block

SingStar ‘90s – Radiohead, R.E.M., The Cure
SPOnG ‘hearts’ the 1990s so it is with more than a little excitement (and sigh of nostalgia) that we welcome the news that a SingStar '90s game is in the pipeline for PS2 later this summer, the follow up to the recently released SingStar Pop Hits!

New Zealand-based online store, Gameplanet has listed the game down for an August release and also listed the thirty tracks to be included in everyone’s favourite post-pub karaoke title.

The songs listed include indie-pop classics from Radiohead, R.E.M. and The Cure for the boys and some hefty helpings of cheese from New Kids On The Block, MC Hammer, Seal and that Wet Wet Wet song we’ve been trying to forget about for the last ten years.

SPOnG has contacted Sony Computer Entertainment Europe today for confirmation on details and release date on the European version of the game.

Here’s that track-list in full with it's SPOnG rating out of five:

Let's be 100% clear about this. There's a gun and a single bullet in this box. Once you've murdered Barbie Girl, you are free to go. Alternatively, you can use the bullet on yourself.

Dear Doctor, i have read about you on the Japanese music thread and you don't strike me as the kind of person who would defend a piece of s**t like Barbie Girl. You are a grown man, so explain yourself

I'm not defending Barbie Girl... but my scenario relates to a famous theoretical problem. You are locked in a room witrh Barbie Girl. Imagine if you shot at it and missed, or merely injured it, rather than killing it. You'd merely annoy it. Maybe it would respond by increasing the volume, or putting itself on repeat play. That'sa fate worse than death. Maybe the safest route is to put yourself out of your misery.

Oh i see. How foolish of me. Have to say though, that theory is a great idea for a videogame. A crappy record/suicidal shooter! I can see it now - 'Single Bullet Theory'. Maybe i'll put my hooters away and get designing.

BTW, Daryl Braithwaite used to be in an Aussie band called Sherbert, famous (in the UK at least) for the late 1970's hit single 'Howzat'

What if you didn't die, merely injured yourself - perhaps leaving yourself paralysed and unable to stick your fingers in your ears.

Oh, and as you brought this up (Tim, in the pub last night), that Seal track is the worst possible choice from any of his stuff. Popular with the girls, but a dud next to almost all his other stuff (save "Princess" bleh). Killer, Crazy, FLP, Prayer for the Dying would have been a million times better and easier for your Uncle Barry to screamulate after a few tins of Tetleys at your Aunt's 40th birthday party. Roachford were nothing like TTD. Shame there's no TTD on there, but by the 90s he'd gone a bit batshit anyways, Bit like Prince, who's stuff's also noticeable by its absence
