Geometry Wars For Wii/DS Confirmed: First Screens
Nintendo gets some retro shooter angular action
Vivendi (or, more specifically, its off-shoot Sierra) has just confirmed that Geometry Wars: Galaxies is indeed coming to the Wii and DS as was rumoured earlier in the week. SPOnG has the first screens below.
There's a little somethin' extra for owners of both consoles. Vivendi tells us:
As we reported on Tuesday, the latest Geometry Wars title is being developed by Kuju, of Call of Duty: Finest Hour fame rather than series creator Bizarre.
Galaxies will also feature the full version of Retro Evolved from Xbox Live Arcade.

“For the first time ever, the Geometry Wars videogame will let players battle via hot seat, co-op, simultaneous and versus in multiplayer mode. Those that own both the Nintendo DS and Wii can link the game together using Wi-Fi to unlock bonus content. Elite players will be able to challenge the universe by posting high scores on the Wii’s online leader board.”
