Grand Theft Auto IV: Special Edition Revealed

Rockstar Games is to accompany the 'basic' Grand Theft Auto IV with a Special Edition boxed-game when the game hits Europe on October 19th (three days after the State-side release).

The box element of the box-set is a metal safety deposit box with a U.S. price slated at $89.99 (£45) as opposed to the $59.99 (£30) for the bog-standard game. The UK official retail price for the standard is £49.99 (although you can currently pay sub-£40 on Amazon pre-order, for example). No pricing has been announced for a UK Special Edition.

So, what do you get in your metal box? This is what you get:

• Grand Theft Auto IV on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system or the PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system, both with special packaging

• The Grand Theft Auto IV Art Book, featuring never-before-seen production artwork from Grand Theft Auto IV.

• Selected soundtrack CD from Grand Theft Auto IV, featuring new material from top artists, only available on this release

• An exclusive Rockstar keychain for the safety deposit box keys

• Completing the collection is a limited edition Rockstar duffel bag
