New S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Titles To Be Unveiled at E3

Perhaps we’ll see a release sometime before 2012?

It’s now pretty much agreed that THQ/GSC Game World’s immense PC game S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl was worth the (extended) wait, so it’s great news for PC gamers today that Ukranian-based devs have announced that they plan to unveil "several" games based in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. universe which they will be telling us all about about at E3 in July.

The original S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl was announced way back in November 2001 and got lost somewhere in development hell, slipping time and time again, until it was eventually released – to widespread critical acclaim and commercial success, we may add – earlier this year.

You can read SPOnG’s detailed S.T.A.L.K.E.R. review right here to see why we liked it so much.

GSC Game World's CEO Sergiy Grygorovych said, in strangely poorly translated English, of the new announcements, "We are very happy of the players' positive reaction to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. all over the world. This fills us with confidence the team is on the right track and adds us strength to go for next exciting accomplishments. It will be very soon that we present our new interesting ideas and solutions."

We anticipate that at least one or more of the new S.T.A.L.K.E.R titles will be an expansion pack to the original game, although we will of course bring you all the news directly from sunny E3 in July.
