Britain to Run Out of Tea!

Jack Keane to save the day though. Phew!

There is still a market out there for classic-style point and click adventuring on PC. Apparently.

That is, if 10Tacle's latest PC-outing Jake Keane is anything to go buy, packed full of adventure and daredevil derring-do. In the high seas of the British Empire no less!

Players can take the role of the extremely ironic, somewhat clumsy daredevil Jack or of and the 'attractive and adventurous' Amanda.

Besides trying to secure a regular tea supply for Britain (obviously vital to protecting the interests of the Empire!) our two adventurers are charged with fighting the evil ‘Doctor T’ – described as a brilliant scientist, who’s “only true joy lies in flora and fauna. Thrown out of the famous London Royal Society and sent to serve as Governor on a remote island in the Indian Ocean, the gifted researcher soon found his own allies in the form of carnivorous plants and an army of trained apes.”

Doctor T has set his evil sights on nothing less than the conquest of the entire British Empire and, we are informed that, “he hates all of humanity, mainly due to the fact that he sees himself as the only worthwhile example the species has ever produced!”

As with any game in the genre, a believable and immersive storyline is key.

We’ll have to wait to see if the point-and-click adventuring through London, the High Seas, Capetown and Tooth Island is fun or not when the game is out later this year. Check the first pics right here for a taster of what's in store.
