Phantasy Star Online swells in every way
Sega of Japan has announced that the Phantasy Star Online Internet user community has reached an impressive 200,000 worldwide.

Sega has said that a great percentage of new online players have been lured by the free online battle services provided by SegaNet to American gamers.

There is also talk that Sonic Team will be releasing an add-on disc called Phantasy Star Append Disc for the Dreamcast in April or May.

As well as featuring online play for supporting territories, the new disc will have new missions, maps and fixes for the various bugs that were spotted post-release. Sonic Team has also gone to great lengths to stop players using any kind of cheat device. One of Sega’s major concerns upon releasing its online adventure was players cheating in the Dream Arena.

If players now want to compete in the new maps and attempt the new missions, they will have to do it without any cheating.
