Nintendo brings SpaceWorld to Europe, snubbing ECTS
Nintendo of Europe has today announced that it will be running its own SpaceWorld style event in Europe this year and not attending ECTS (European Computer Trade Show)

The Nintendo Show, as it will be known, takes place on the 1st and 2nd of September and will be trade only, unlike SpaceWorld which is an open event. This means that we can go and you can’t. Ha ha! A venue has not been announced.

The dates will see Nintendo go head to head with ECTS which starts on September 2nd.

“We’ll be creating a spectacular – a unique occasion for the industry and all those that love great gameplay. 2001 is a huge year for Nintendo – we have a lot to shout about, and we feel that The Nintendo Show will be the perfect vehicle to do exactly that!” said David Gosen, Managing Director, Sales & Marketing for Nintendo of Europe.

Nintendo officials have gone off the record to say that The Nintendo Show will be a Game Boy Advance focused event with a “decent amount of unseen GameCube games.” What will be playable has not disclosed.
