Gambling and DIY in New Phantasy Star Expansion

It’s like Changing Rooms, but in a videogame!

SEGA has just announced that Ambition of the Illuminus, the new expansion pack for Phantasy Star Universe, will be available for download on Xbox 360 and released on disc on PC and PS2 later this year.

The expansion adds a whole new storyline to PSU as well as a number of new gameplay features including bigger, better online lobbies to meet other players plus, most intriguingly, the new Casino Voloyal, where you can virtually gamble away on roulette and slot machines (pictured).

In terms of the story, there is a new human fundamentalist group, called the Illuminus, which starts to kick off a bit in the Gurhal System. Players have to check out this system, exploring new locations which includes Ruins of Old Rozenom City and the Granigs Mines, and features new enemies and vehicles.

Finally, players can customise their characters with new weapons, armour, Photon Arts and clothing. Plus, for DIY-enthusiasts, “Each Guardian’s individual Rooms are upgraded and now offer a greater level of customisation, with a new grid system that allows players to decorate the walls and place new interactive items and furniture anywhere they want in the Room.”
