Sega's PSP Puzzler: First Video Footage

Sega gets cerebral

Posted by Staff
In an afternoone of Sega-related news - the company's just announced a new game set to plumb the depths of the human psyche as gaming never has before. Well, maybe not. But Crush for the PSP certainly looks interesting, so SPOnG's got a video and some screens so you can take a peek for yourself.

Crush is a bit of a mash of the puzzle and platform genres. Imagine Tetris meets Mario. We're not promising it'll be as good as those two, but you get the gist. The premise for the game goes as follows:

'Whilst Danny is undergoing Dr. Reubens’ C.R.U.S.H therapy he has the ability to navigate between 2D and 3D to help unlock the secret to his long suffering insomnia. However, there are certain rules that he must adhere to whilst in this hypnotic state and certain objects that he can use.'

We could tell you the rest, but a picture's worth a thousand words, and we have one that moves.

Crush is planned for a summer release, the season of handheld gaming. Who knows, you might even be able to play it on a PSP2...
