Rumours are doing the rounds today that
Capcom is planning a sequel/follow-up to the critical/commercial success that is
Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, with a game apparently called
Lost Planet Wars in the pipeline for PS3 and 360.
Capcom has yet to confirm or deny the rumour with SPOnG, but in the meantime has sent us over some details of a bunch of new downloadable multiplayer map packs for
Lost Planet: Extreme Condition for Xbox 360
The first map pack will set you back 400 Microsoft Points, with pricing on the following packs still to be confirmed.
The first pack should hit Xbox Live around March 9 and contains two new multiplayer levels: “Radar Field,” a close quarters facility which is under construction and has a giant radar that provides an excellent vantage point, and “Island 902,” a sprawling Pacific-themed battlefield with several islands connected by bridges as well as vast underwater areas.
Additionally, “Battleground,” a multiplayer map originally offered exclusively to those who purchased the Limited Edition of the game, will be made available for free to all Lost Planet players. More news on the next two packs as we get it.
