Nintendo UK has just sent word that 36 new NES, SNES, N64, SEGA MEGA DRIVE and Turbografx Virtual Console titles will be available to download between January and the end of March in 2007, including Ocarina of Time, Mario Kart 64 and Super Mario World.
20 Nintendo titles, seven Turbografx (PC Engine) games and nine classic SEGA MEGA DRIVE games are to be added to the Wii Shop Channel where they are available for Wii gamers to download and save the to Wii’s internal flash memory.
Other titles to be made available include Street Fighter II: World Warrior, Super Probotector, Streets of Rage, Bio-Hazard Battle, Bonanza Bros. and Comix Zone.
Additionally, Turbografx (PC Engine) titles from Hudson include Soldier Blade, Double Dungeons and New Adventure Island.

Price-wise VC games range from 500 Wii Points for NES games to 800 Wii Points for Super Nintendo games and 1000 Wii Points for Nintendo 64 games. You can either buy Wii Points Cards in stores at around $20 (£14) for 2000 Wii Points. In the stars catalogue smaller fractions of Wii Points will also be available.
Nintendo will also be rewarding regular customers via its ‘Stars’ loyalty scheme, whereby you can redeem ‘Stars’ awarded whenever you purchase games in store or online for further Wii points.
