The greatest underdog story of our time is back for one final round. Or so the trailer for
Rocky Balboa, the sixth and final film in the Rocky series, tells us. Ubisoft has got the game rights and is releasing a title on the PSP to coincide with the film's arrival in January.
The film depicts the last stand of Rocky Balboa, working class hero and all round champ. After a sports channel shows a simulation of Rocky fighting current champion Mason "The Line" Dixon (we think they probably used a PS3 bought on eBay) the public's interest in Rocky creeps up. Before you know it the Stallion's up for one last denture-crunching fight.
Details are still scarce on the release. The available screenshots depict Rocky against Clubber Lang and Ivan Drago from the third and fourth films respectively, so SPOnG's presuming that more than just the latest film will be included. It could lead us to further speculation that the title ports content from
Rocky: Legends. But SPOnG doesn't go in for that kind of negative presumption.
For all things Rocky, keep checking in on our dedicated
Rocky Balboa page.
Anyway, while we wait for more details: "Let's start building some hurting palms!" Or thumbs. Whichever.
