Konami’s cutesy Elebits is to be one of the first titles to make use of Nintendo’s WiiConnect24 ‘always on’ online gaming service, with Japanese gaming bible Famitsu detailing some of the games’ cool features this week.
Connection features include player-generated maps that can be sent to your friends even when you are not around. You will also be able to send in-game screengrabs to prove you’ve accomplished certain tasks in the game (i.e. to prove to your so-called, self-styled friends that you are not an inveterate liar!)
Other Wii games that are to take advantage of WiiConnect24 are Pokemon Battle Revolution, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Animal Crossing Wii and Super Smash Bros Brawl[i], [i]Battalion Wars 2, Mario Strikers Charged and Far Cry: Vengeance.
Elebits will be released on December 6th in the US, with a UK release date still to be confirmed.
