Oblivion: Knights of the Nine – Full Details on Expansion
Good news for PC and 360 fans of Bethesda’s splendid RPG, Oblivion, as the developer has announced that the forthcoming Knights of the Nine add-on. This promises up to an extra twenty hours gameplay, and set you back a mere $9.99 or 800 Microsoft points.

The add-on is described on Bethesda’s website as follows:
“A fallen King has been unchained from the darkness of Oblivion to seek vengeance upon the Gods who banished him. Only a champion pure of heart can vanquish the evil that has been released upon the land. You must heed the call, reclaim the lost relics of the Divine Crusader, and return the Nine to glory. New dungeons, characters, quests, and mysteries await.”

Now if like many in the SPOnG offices you scoff at such fantasy ‘fare’ we would urge you to put your doubts to one side and give Oblivion a go. It is, for SPOnG, possibly the greatest single-player role-playing game ever devised.

Oblivion has managed to turn a number of fantasy-haters in the office into (over)eager RPG fans, much to Andy’s disgust!

"Horse Armour, Sorcerer Kings and Diving Crusaders! These should not be the concerns of grown, adult men!" says Andy

Knights of the Nine will also come bundled with the PS3 version of Oblivion at launch on November 17th in the States and Japan. But not in Europe till March (cue, cries of anger from European gamers everywhere…)

The add-on is priced so competitively because Bethesda considers Knights of the Nine as downloadable content and not a full expansion.
