Atari and developers, Turbine, are putting the Dungeons and Dragons-based Stormreach within reach of more players with a free offer for all European gamers. Buy Neverwinter Nights 2, and get a free seven-day trial of the D&D outing.
The version being made available for trial is not some sad old knock-out of a previous version, but the most recent online D&D version.
According to Atari, “Key highlights of the new features from Modules one, two and three include the following:
* 30% new content - Three brand new exterior environments to adventure in, including the Necropolis, the Restless Isles, the Twilight Forge and will soon feature the all new desert terrain, The Demon Sands
* Enhanced and increased solo play
* Player Versus Player Combat - Take part in Tavern Brawls or Arena Battles. Fight your fellow players for fun and at no risk in exciting PvP modes such as Death match and Capture the Flag
* New race (Drow) - The newest playable race that was added in the Twilight Forge module
* Level cap increased to 12 - Coming in Module 3, you will be able to play up to level 12 (or rank 60 as it will be known)
* New in-game mail system - Send your offline friends messages and gifts with the handy new postal service
* New in-game favour and rewards system - Now you will receive extra rewards from the various Houses with each quest you complete for them
* Several new raid encounters
* Extra character slots”
Neverwinter Nights 2 will hit European stores from November 3, in standard edition and Chaotic Evil Collector's Edition. The latter includes a Neverwinter Nights Figurine, Pewter Ring, Cloth Map and Soundtrack CD.
