SPOnG spent a rather enjoyable night last night at Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer 6 launch bash at Arsenal’s space-age Emirates Stadium in the arse-end of north London. We can report that, aside from trying to destroy us with lager, Konami and Microsoft have teamed up to bring a Pro Evolution Soccer 6 hardware bundle to market this Christmas.
After October 27th, the day PES 6 finally releases on 360, PS2 and PC, gamers will be able to pick up the Pro Evo/360 pack for a shade under £300. This includes a console, wireless controller, 20GB hard drive, headset, 30 day trial Xbox Live membership, component HD AV cable with SCART adapter, ethernet cable and a copy of the beautiful game itself.
Basically this is pretty much all you are going to need to spend the best part of the next year playing the most addictive football game known to man with all your new Texan friends on Xbox Live. And don’t forget that both Pro Evo and the new FIFA 07 (which, dare we say, is also surprisingly good and will give PES a good run for its money) are both next-gen exclusives on 360 at least for the first year of release.
"Xbox 360 is the home of next-gen football gaming in Europe, and we’re really excited to be working with Konami to bring this great value offer to gamers this Christmas," says director of marketing and platform for Xbox EMEA Richard Teversham.
