Radical! It's true that there are some of us in the office who have never stepped on a skateboard in our lives, but - real skaters or not - almost all of us agree that each new iteration in Activision’s Tony Hawk series is a no-brainer, must-get title. As soon as 2006's skies turned grey and the leaves started to fall, we had only one thing guaranteed to keep the autumnal blues at bay – the imminent arrival of Project 8.
For those who might have been tiring of the skateboarding hero’s series (with many muttering last time around that it was all getting a bit samey) THP8, the game’s first proper next-gen outing, is a huge leap forward in terms of both technology and gameplay.
See SPOnG’s recent detailed preview to learn why.
Check out Bam Margera talking about what makes the game tick for him in this latest video SPOnG just received from Activision:
MPEG4 XviD (4.1M)
Quicktime (3.6M)
Windows Media (3.6M)
The game has been totally re-engineered from the ground up and boasts ultra-realistic graphics, enhanced physics and extremely responsive controls, and replicates the real feeling of skateboarding better than ever before.
