UPDATE: Metal Gear Solid 4 Trailer Tomorrow

Leipzig offers glimpse of future Snake.

We believe Konami of Europe will have the honour of debuting an all-new trailer of the PlayStation 3 monster that is Metal Gear Solid 4 tomorrow, August 24th at the Leipzig games convention, bringing a much-needed injection of excitement and tangibility to Sony's emerging hyperconsole.

The presentation is - according to overnight gossip in Germany - to include gameplay mingled with cut-scene action. Talk of the game being demonstrated in real time by developers, something Konami has openly offered since last year's Tokyo Game Show, remain unconfirmed.

Expected to be a launch-period title for the PlayStation 3, Metal Gear Solid 4 is without doubt the most impressive game on show for any system right now. Expect full coverage of the (God, we hope it's more interesting than the last one) Kojima-coded sneak-em-up in the coming months and please, feel more than free to sit on the site pressing F5 all day until we get the video online.

UPDATE:

The video will not be shown in preview form and will be played at the show. A press release from Konami reads:

Metal Gear Solid 4 at Games Convention

Konami Digital Entertainment unveils incredible Guns of the Patriots trailer

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH will be showing amazing video footage of its eagerly-awaited PLAYSTATION®3 title Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots at the Leipzig Games Convention.

Kojima Productions is using the Leipzig show to demonstrate key advances in Metal Gear Solid 4, and have produced a stunning trailer utilising the most recent version of the PLAYSTATION®3 hardware.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is Kojima Productions’ first game for PLAYSTATION®3. Set in a world overrun by private military companies (PMCs), wars are no longer fought over nations or ideologies. Rather, they are micro-managed by overarching PMCs, right down to the bullet. Joined by a familiar cast of characters, Solid Snake must once again return to the battlefield to confront a life-long rival who is manipulating wars from the one world which soldiers will always have a place…

Thankfully, Solid Snake is also equipped with new technology and Metal Gear Solid 4 introduces the OctoCamo suit concept, giving him the ability to merge with his surroundings as long as he remains motionless for a specific time, granting the stealth action hero his greatest camouflage to date.

The new game also marks the return of key characters from the Metal Gear saga, including long-term Solid Snake associates Meryl and Otacon, and Mr Kojima hopes that the new trailer will make up for his inability to visit the show this year. “I visited Games Convention last year and the year before and it is one of my favourite shows to attend,” he said. “I had originally planned to attend Games Convention this year, but my schedule sadly will not allow me to attend. Next year I will surely like to visit Leipzig once again. In my absence, please take a look at the trailers for our titles.”

Games Convention runs from August 24th-27th and the trailer will be shown each day at 13:00 and 16:00 during the show on Konami stand F02 in Hall 5.

No snake or any major character in the trailer, just 'mini metal gears' stomping on some arabs.
I guess it's most likely an excerpt from a bigger TGS trailer they'll show next month.

Everyones talking how sony is taking to long with the conference, hopefully one site can shed some light to why this is happening, pretty much everyone can not wait any longer, sony just needs to hurry things up.
