Great news for Sega fans today, with Sega of America's vice president of marketing, Scott Steinberg confirming that both
next-gen Sonic and
Full Auto 2: Battlelines are both on track for the November PS3 launch.
Speaking to GameDailyBiz Steinberg also confirmed that the PS3-exclusive Virtua Fighter 5 will follow shortly after this in March 2007, with the Wii-Exclusive Sonic Wild Fire also ‘probably’ releasing the same month. You can see more on both of those titles at our
dedicated VF5 page and dedicated
Sonic Wild Fire page.
There is continuing support for Xbox 360 from Sega with Steinberg mentioning both
Chromehounds (releasing next week) and next gen Sonic, which is also being developed for PS3. Full Auto 2: Battlelines is still to be confirmed for 360 though.
Steinberg added: "Top line, Sega is supporting all three platforms...we have lots of plans to be players on all three."
