Nintendo Announces Girlfriend-pleasing Sexy Toy

'What to buy her for Christmas' issue solved.

Nintendo has announced that it will be introducing this wonderful new girl-friendly pink DS Lite in Japan on July 20, just when SPOnG thought we could get away with fobbing her off with the old, chunky silver model we don’t want anymore.

The Noble Pink version of this year’s must have gaming handheld will set Japanese punters back ¥16,800 (around £80). The colour pink can be described in many ways, and be used in many stereotypical sexist/homophobic references, but to describe pink as ‘noble’ really has us baffled. SPOnG imagines that we’ll see them on eBay come the end of July, priced at around two to three times this amount.

You can hide from your girlfriend the fact that they are available in the short-term by painting your old silver DS pink, with some of that nice pink nail varnish she has in the back of the bathroom cupboard. It will at least buy you a couple of month’s grace until the Noble Pink Lites are officially available in the US and in Europe.

It's also interesting to note that the Japanese 'Talking Cooking Navi' title which we told you about earlier this month releases on the same day as the Noble Pink DS in Japan. DS 'How to Cook Better' titles are sure to emerge in the US and Europe before long, so there will soon be a directly beneficial reason to ensure your lady has a DS. Then she can figure out what she is going to cook for her man's breakfast whilst she is taking the train home from her second part-time cleaning job early in the morning, via the local butchers to pick up your fresh meat for the day. Oh, how we dream of living in a pre-feminist utopia!

If you can read Japanese, you can see what Nintendo has to say about its girly new DS Lite colour on its official site.

Sweet if you like Pink and all. You would have thought that there'd be plenty of colour options. Nintendo do take their time though.

Hey, cooking is a valuable life skill and with too many people leaving mothers nest and living off pizza and nuke food, perhaps this is a good thing we might soon get this too.
