Pramesh is the latest appointment to the company's rapidly growing team dedicated to the new area of games for mobile phone handsets and the Internet. He replaces Luca Nardoni who is returning to Italy, after spending several years working at Namco Europe's UK headquarters.
Pramesh will have overall responsibility for all areas of business development within the Web & Mobile Content division. He comes with over 6 years commercial and marketing experience within the interactive entertainment sector, both on mobile and Internet, and is a widely recognised figure within the mobile games industry. Before joining Namco, Pramesh headed business development at Kuju Wireless, where he played a significant part in establishing and growing their publishing division. Prior to that, he worked with mobile games pioneer Digital Bridges.
John McKenzie, the head of Web & Mobile Content at Namco, said, "Namco Europe's Web & Mobile division has made a number of key appointments in the past several months. This is part of an ongoing strategy to further strengthen the company's position as a key player in Europe's online and mobile games industries. We would like to welcome Pramesh to Namco Europe and are looking forward to working with him as the market continues to grow."
Pramesh added, "Namco is recognised worldwide as an innovator and leader in the videogames market. The company has such an incredible history and has already proven itself in the highly competitive Japanese mobile games market. I am excited with the fantastic scope and opportunity in front of me, and am really looking forward to help Namco Europe build on it's position itself as a key publisher in the European mobile games market."
