Activision CEO, Bobby Kotick, isn't all about business, he has an artistic soul. He's a trustee of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). The head of the LACMA is one Michael Govan who, to the dismay of some patrons, earned around $1 million last year.
The LA Times, however, reports on how several people have come to the defence of Govan and his salary. Here's an example:
"The reputation of LACMA was not a good one. There was definitely scepticism whether L.A. was committed to building a cultural institution that would be on par with the Met and MOMA... Compensation was one way to overcome that."
