North American THQ Vice President Quits

Scott Guthrie, THQ’s executive vice president of publishing, has resigned. He had been responsible for overseeing North America sales and distribution, and marketing. His departure is "to pursue another opportunity". In one of those statements that always raises eyebrows, this decision is "effective immediately".

There is no quote from Scott, however, Brian Farrell, THQ’s chairman, president and CEO says, "THQ has a deep and experienced global sales and marketing team and we continue to execute on our focused product strategy.

"We wish Scott well in his future endeavours", he signs off with.
