Summary
As the title suggests, 4x4 Evolution is racing game with big, big cars, ranging from Toyotas to Land Rovers. Have a blast on this multiplayer racing fest with millions of potential players.
Specific to PC, 4x4 has smooth visuals, and is even compatible with low-end PC’s. Unusually for a competitive racing title, there is a strong feeling of freedom. There are no boundaries as such, only giant mountains that will prevent you from driving into non-polygonal lands. Other than this, the world’s your oyster. For example, on one course you must race around a small airfield, but if you get a little bored, why not take a quick trip on the runway to see a few planes strut their stuff?
There are a wide range of 4x4 vehicles to choose from here, and each one has handling specific to the design of the car, and it shows. Every car has its own modelled design, colour and handling attributes to suit the needs of the player.
The big bonus here is that anyone with either a Dreamcast, Mac or PC can compete in an international competition against one another as 4x4 will be released on all the aforementioned platforms. In addition to all its other features, 4x4 Evolution’s multiplayer feature will be its most valuable asset by far.
