Summary

Tough guy, are you? Like men who like big, powerful weapons? If you're not squeamish about severed limbs and broken bones, and have a talent for dismemberment, then Soldier of Fortune might just float your boat.

Soldier of Fortune is one of many among first-person-shooters. As with the majority of titles in this genre, you take on the role of the hero in a story that, although unoriginal, will keep you engrossed for a long while. Soldier of Fortune has some very violent imagery, you have been warned.

The aim of Soldier of Fortune is to locate and secure four stolen nuclear warheads. If the task at hand is failed, you face the threat of a thermonuclear holocaust and a trip home in a body bag. SOF hasn't received a BBFC rating of 18 for no reason. There are a lot of flesh and bones to be seen here, let alone people peeing in the street, displaying their assets for all to see!

It's a big game, featuring ten covert missions over five continents, all of which are played out in a 26 level extravaganza. To add to the fun of playing, each individual character you blow away will react accordingly to whereabouts on the body he is shot; there are over 25 hit points to go for, plenty for the bloodthirstiest gamer to think about.
