Summary

Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City for the Wii is an update on the popular handheld title, Animal Crossing: Wild World, and the GameCube title called simply Animal Crossing. Move into a living, breathing world inside your Nintendo Wii and then invite your friends to visit from anywhere on earth.

The game concept is so simple and addictive, it could only have been developed by Nintendo. You move into a village and just live life, extend a home, interact with your neighbours and explore the village. It's pure escapism and it's simply wonderful.

Days and seasons pass in real-time and you can basically do what you like. You might want to go fishing, go shopping for a nice hat or one of the other items you can buy, or just chew the fat with some of the other crazy characters in your village. It's the Little Computer People concept taken to the 'nth degree.

The Wii version, as the title suggests, brings the action to the big city. That doesn't mean you'll be stuck in a concrete jungle - you'll still be able to spend your summers whimsically catching fireflies in the countryside - but you'll have a brand new urban area to visit.

Up to four people in your household can live and work together to build their ideal town. Thanks to Nintendo's Wi-Fi connection, however, you'll be able to have up to three friends come and visit you online. With the introduction of Wii Speak, which features a microphone that sits atop your telly, you'll all be able to chat away like you're in the same room.

You will, of course, also be able to customise your home and yourself with things like bugs, fish, fossils, art, furniture, clothes and accessories. You'll even be able to take your Mii to the salon for a makeover, or design your own clothes in the tailors shop. Put them on animals, and they may even take them to other towns!

Animal Crossing: Let's Go To The City provides a much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
