Summary

Following a linear gameplay, players are immediately and deeply entrenched in an intricate, action-filled mystery. To uncover the plot against Batman, players must exploit every skill, device and technology in the Batman arsenal. Gamers utilise masterful martial arts moves to keep the Jokers' henchmen at bay, and grappling hooks to explore the hidden nooks of Mr. Freeze's chemical plant. Race the streets and airways of Gotham in the Batmobile and Batjet, or freefall from buildings with the aid of an armour-enhanced cape. Collecting clues to unravel the plot at hand, players piece together intricate mysteries, always alert to the threat of thugs, traps and treachery.

Within the larger story, the game is divided into five episodes, which set up the goals for the next instalment. Containing more than 30 minutes of real-time cinematics, Batman alone boasts nearly 500 unique animations. Players explore expertly-rendered 3D environments that perfectly depict the dark world of Gotham. The beautifully hand drawn characters reflect the individual's unique personalities; Poison Ivy's seductive insanity, Mr. Freeze's chilling brand of evil.

Batman's cape was created as an independent character, reacting to movements via it's own AI. Including Dolby surround sound and specially recorded voice-talent, with Mark Hamill as the Joker, Batman: Vengeance immerses fans of the Dark Knight in a darkly beautiful, interactive expansion of the animated series.
