Summary

Disney’s latest hit blockbuster movie release, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, is not only set for Hollywood stardom, but for video game stardom as well. The Lost Empire is now making its way into the home console market with a release for PlayStation.

You play the role of explorer and talented linguist, Milo Thatch. On your travels, you will encounter many life-threatening dangers, eager to halt your progress as an explorer. Your encounters will change everything in the world of Atlantis forever.

While not as graphically complex and accomplished as its PC counterpart, this PlayStation version still offers a great number of vast and colourful environments, including the depths of the ocean and hot volcanic regions filled with danger. All of the game’s 12 worlds combine a number of respected game styles such as platform and puzzle.

While much of the game is played on foot, there are unique vehicles that will help you progress through certain stages of the game, including submarines, trucks and diggers.

There are six playable characters in all, that all have their own strengths and weaknesses. The involvement of such characters helps to bring the game and its story closer together.

Atlantis: The Lost Empire has a stunning amount of variety that blends well with this classic tale from Disney.
