Summary

Saturday morning television has been the home to many new children’s TV programmes. The Rugrats, however, has to be the most successful series in the history of children’s TV. Not content with a Rugrats-based movie, they are now making their way onto millions of home computers in the form of a video game. Rugrats in Paris gives all users of PC’s an enjoyable experience in which they can explore the most romantic city in Europe.

The Rugrats are once again getting themselves into mischief as they travel to Euro Reptarland to help fix Stu’s Robotic Reptar. All Rugrats favourites are present and in fully playable form, including Chuckie, Phil, Dil, Lil and Tommy. Players must learn to guide their favourite characters through 16 massive levels, all of which are designed around still images from the movie. Each stage has it own environment, with locations varying from rollercoaster rides and carnival games to Chuckie Chan and the Ooey Gooey action game. Actual character voices have been incorporated here, giving Rugrats in Paris a familiar feel to those with knowledge of the phenomenon. What’s more, Rugrats in Paris is available to play in two-player mode, so any family member or friend can join in the fun. There are hidden bonus levels to be found for experienced players, increasing the game’s longevity, while at the same time motivating players.

Although it would appear this game is targeted towards fans of the franchise, Rugrats in Paris is fun to play, no matter what your age or taste. It’s a great game that anyone can enjoy. What more could you ask?
