Red Faction is the codename for the underground miners resistance on Mars. The corporation Ultor tricks people into working for them before secretly infecting them with a strange disease. This plague affects the workers strength, and causes disfigurement and death. Assume the role of Parker, lead the resistance, and bring freedom to the miners.
Red Faction is an accomplished first-person shooter. It has all the hallmarks of a modern classic. The story is well written and conveys a feeling of unrest and tension. The control method works well and your character feels responsive. The graphics look delicious in the high-resolution modes.
The Geo-Mod technology allows for more realistic gameplay. Instead of wasting your precious ammo supply on a heavily armed vechicle, destroy the ground in front of the truck. If the truck tumbles into the hole it is incapacitated.
