Picture postcard perfect
We found Outrun 2 to be the perfect antidote to more demanding action adventure games, RPGs and the like. It’s quick, satisfying entertainment and you can wedge a slice in at just about any time of day. Outrun 2 is the lemon sorbet on a table cluttered with pungent and stodgy dishes. It may not be as blatantly innovative or impressive as other titles around, but you’ll keep coming back to it for a quick blast when those other games have long since been completed, with that irrepressible Outrun 2 zinginess dispelling any stale aftertastes left behind by inferior video games. In our books, that is praiseworthy indeed, and it’s the reason we’ll still be dusting off Outrun 2 periodically for a long time to come… in fact, until we get a copy of Outrun 3. Go on Sega, you know you want to!
A+
You couldn't ask for more from Outrun 2 as an arcade racer, and its transition to Xbox is near flawless. The extra single player mission mode and online play just top it off perfectly. If you like Sega, arcade games and/or Ferraris, Outrun 2 will make you happy.
