First look at the final design of the Xbox

US magazine Electronic Gaming Monthly break Microsoft Embargo, and release Xbox pics early. Microsoft makes usual unconvincing denials

With only a few days left until the official unveiling of the Xbox, images have already been circulated of the alleged final-design of the console. Microsoft intended to preview the console this weekend at the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas. American gaming magazine Electronic Gaming Monthly has got the drop on them and has released images of what they say is the final look of the console.

Microsoft is the most powerful and successful software company of all time. Bill Gates, the founder and president of Microsoft is the richest man in the solar system, and Microsoft has rarely failed at anything! Even the United States department of Justice was unable to force Microsoft to remove Internet Explorer from Windows, Microsoft provided an uninstall option but argued that Internet Explorer was integral to the operating system. Sony showed how successful a multi-national company could be in the video game industry and Microsoft look set to do the same.

The Xbox, which looks astoundingly powerful, is going to be the console to own when it is released in Europe early next year. Despite the fact that developer support is extremely strong, Microsoft is currently in the process of trying to acquire several videogame companies in order to guarantee that the platform has all the quad-A titles for its release. With the financial resources Microsoft has they are definitely going to be one of the big players from the moment they enter the market. We’ll bring you the official images of the Xbox when they are released, until then we’ll have to wait and see if EGM really have sprung a world exclusive, despite Microsoft’s strong denials.
