PSP – Nailed to the wall

Japanese subway ads draw the crowds

Posted by Staff
Sony Computer Entertainment has put its PSP advertising campaign to the ultimate test, with billboards in various Japanese subways featuring final hardware embedded within them.

The campaign also includes attractive ladygirls dishing out flyers at relevant subway entrances explaining what the PSP is and what’s on the rolling demo.

Enjoy the snaps!

Excellent...
I'd give the wall mounted PSP's approximately 5mins before being 'taken for a test drive' by commuters if they try this in London... But we can only hope!

Good piece of advertising by Sony. Obviously they are less like to be stolen by law abiding japanese, but i bet someone will be tempted to try. That would just give Sony more ad power if a few folk nick them. I bet they have them pesky hidden cameras somewhere.

Quite a novel idea but i doubt anything more than a PSP shell is in the advert, plus its probably caked into the resin used to house it.

Gives you a proper look at the handheld though rather than some piece of airbrushed nonsense you see these days.

You reckon that could have anything to do with the fact that there are four security guards stood there?

About as practical as Nintendo making a bunch of people wearing Mario masks hold signs that say "Who are you?" in New York City, but still entertaining.

See, if more companies nailed their products to the wall, say abortion clinics, we'd have an extremley exciting new form of advertising here!
